LOWER COLUMBIA SCHOOL GARDENS
Cultivating the values of lifelong learning, sustainability, health, and community.
In May 2012 volunteers, students, and families broke ground at CVG Elementary, removing sod to transform an unused patch of lawn into a dynamic school garden. Volunteers maintain the garden through the summer in preparation for start of school in the fall. We are excited to have teachers and students utilize the garden as an organic outdoor classroom, taking advantage of every teachable moment. These are exciting times!
